I used more time this past week to get further away from the city and relax. I don’t use my brain often but when I do I can utilize it better in silence. The place I moved to 5 years ago is distracting. Sometimes I’ll have both my flare earbuds and shooting ear muffs on and I’ll still hear certain cars from half a mile away.
I don’t remember cars being this loud or there being that many of them. I believe it’s a symptom. Maybe it’s ego, the lack of control in one’s life/wishing to feel powerful.
“Everyone needs to know that I exist.”
Most loud cars I can deal with but some sound like the adult version of this contraption…
Getting away from the city and being in the wilderness from time to time is my solution. Heck given the progression of things this might have to be permanent.
While I’m out in the wilderness I use some of my time to plan, read, and as you see in the video, work out. Working out produces stress (Cortisol) and some ways we engage in it can produce more cortisol than others. Too much of this stress will hinder both the recovery process and the growth process.
If greater health/functionality is your goal then having a peaceful environment to build up your body will be a great advantage.
Have a good weekend yall and thank you for sticking around.
