Disclaimer: I love researching and writing about fitness content. In addition to this and due to some situations in my life, I also like to go down alternative medicine rabbit holes some of which have benefited my own life. I’m not a medical professional…and I spend some days scheming in the dark like in the picture above. So if you’re here for fitness posts and are not fond of alternative medicine theories then feel free to ignore posts of this nature. Now on with the show.

Minimal Victories

““There few successes in the treatment of disseminated cancer…It was usually a matter of watching the tumor get bigger, and the patient, progressively smaller.” — John Laszlo, the cure for childhood leukemia: Into The Age Of Miracles” (P 21, Mukherjee)

As a man whose paradigm I’ve fallen head over heals for pretty much said,

“If you’re experiencing treatment failures you’re using the wrong paradigm.”

I know of a person who works in a cancer imaging clinic and I’m always disheartened when hearing about a teenager walking in there to get tested. Heck… I’m disheartened to hear about anything that goes on in these places but it helps to show that other person that I care about how their day at work went by asking about it…

They’re aware of my more fringe views on cancer…, but not sure how much they’ve retained from those conversations.

With some worldwide understanding of how unstable modern medicine's foundations are, I think most of this stress and worry could end. It’s not out to eliminate suffering…but unnecessary suffering.

Society if the Flexner Report was never made

One of the reasons that I believe it’s unstable is due to the beliefs of those who built this medical system. Seeing the human body and all of this world as the result of some impersonal process guiding all material toward greater efficiency can create some blinders especially where chaos or perceived chaos occurs. Everything happens for a reason we may not like it but this is the way things are…

Built For $$

Another reason for this instability is money. A system that’s designed to gain profit from fixing a problem will likely never solve the problem. That’s one of the reasons why some believe that the Instant Pot company is suffering in its business. It was just too good and their pots never break down. Zero repeat customers. Maybe if they made something that broke down every few years they’d do better.

Instant Brands, Files for Bankruptcy ...
The Insta Pot

This is why companies back in the day came up with subscription models for protein powders on top of gym memberships. More repeat customers. Without gym memberships, personal training, and supplements, there would be very little money made in the fitness world. There’s immense benefit in keeping a strong and healthy body, but modern narratives drive us toward spending more money than is necessary…

Placebo Power Part 1 | Marty Gallagher

Without repeat customers, an industry cannot survive.

The reason why…

“There few successes in the treatment of disseminated cancer” (P 21, Mukherjee)

… might be due to the fact the system doesn’t prioritize the development of treatments that end the problem once and for all. And there have been several treatments in the past few decades that have been closer to ending the problem for good, than the stuff doctors get commission on….

FDA(Food and Drug Administration) & NCI(National Cancer Institute)

Whether the problem that this book(“The Emporer Of All Maladies”) is writing about is a disease(keeping an open mind) or a misunderstood healing mechanism there are far better, non-toxic ways to deal with this issue.
