This fitness test I’ve done a million times while in the Corps and it will kick your butt. If I had to choose between doing a 3-mile run for our Physical Fitness Test (PFT) vs the whole of the CFT(total time for the CFT is less) I would rather do the PFT.
My breakthrough in improving my time on the CFT came through OverComing Isometrics (OCIs) and I’ve talked about several other benefits in the past.
Now, as I’m using this method to pursue muscle growth some things in my experience and others cause me to question the narratives and research about using this form of training for such aims.
Is it possible like most research some of the things surrounding OCIs are of poor quality?
